417 Combat Support Squadron is based at CFB Cold Lake it provides helicopter support and search and rescue operations to the base and area since 1994.
Squadron operators the CH-146 Griffon helicopter from the base. During operations the helicopter fly's with two pilots and two Search and Rescue Technicians ( or SAR Techs)
